My marketing sucks, but that's okay.

Hey Reader,

I’ve been told by some that they admire “my marketing” and I’m always shocked when this happens, because I always feel like I’m falling behind on posting on Instagram, sharing what we’ve been up to, websites we’ve launched and who’s joined the WWA program.

As one of our WWA students turned concierge clients told me last year, “I love your culture of service you’ve cultivated at The Launch It Co.,” I really try and remember that I feel the marketing isn’t as strong as it could be is because we’re usually knee-deep in client projects and our focus is paying attention to them. Not a bad thing.

When I’ve purchased a service and don’t feel taken care of, it causes resentment and sometimes I question if my business matters to them or I was just another tick on the sales chart that’s been accomplished.

I never want our students or clients to feel that way, and so when you become a part of The Launch It Co. community, you’re in.

In fact, your client process is one of the things we ask and make sure about when we’re crafting the strategy for your website. What happens once the person clicks “book a call”? How can you best help them know about you? What do they need in their lives that you offer?

We often think that websites are just “tech talk” but for a lot of it – it’s really strategy and how can we make the experience the easiest for your website visitors. That’s it.

Completely different than a coding (which websites hardly need anymore!).

So today, as you working on your business, think about this: How is your website (or lack thereof) affecting how you help people in your business?

Would love to know what that looks like for you, so hit reply and let me know!

xo Emilia

Here are some things that I’ve enjoyed the last little while and I’ll share them with you as well in hopes that you may find them useful, and maybe make your week brighter:

Here are some websites we’ve just recently rebranded through our Website Concierge package:

  • Suntia Smith: Suntia helps couples upgrade their lives and build better relationships. She’s been a client of ours since 2014 and through her latest rebrand, we’ve softened her look and welcomed a new approach to her online counseling offerings.
  • Vibrant Nutrition: Nishta at Vibrant Nutrition empowers families to lead healthier lives. She came to us with a brand already, and an existing site she couldn’t understand how to use and wasn’t making her money. With a strategy call and a deep dive into her previous site, we created a vibrant, full of live strategic website. Check it out.

WP Website Academy Student Spotlight:

  • La Cura Lifestyle: Dr. Bianca Drennan’s mission is to guide others to sustainably optimize their health and happiness through education, empowerment, and evolution. She’s passionate about harnessing the healing power of food to inspire people so that they have the power to live a life of long-term wellness. Check out her website she made while in the program.

Ongoing self-development and leadership work:

*I got the idea to share in bullet format from the Toi Smith weekly “It’s Monday, Again” newsletters

Hey Reader, Have you heard of this free app, Timehop? It’s an app that connects to all your social media accounts and then brings up memories of your past posts in a “1 year ago” or “5 years ago” type of format; images, videos; tweets; whatever you’ve shared in the past. It’s a great way to see how far you’ve come on a project if you’re a visual person and have taken a photo of a plan (like I do!) 👇 Sometimes I see something I was working on and trying to perfect for SO LONG instead of just...
